Mass Ancillary Upload/Update

This functionality allows users to create, edit, and update ancillary services and their associated items more quickly and efficiently.

The process works similarly to the fare mass upload/update tool, enabling bulk management through structured file uploads.

Before using this feature, it is important to understand its limitations. Since each ancillary service can include multiple service items, the mass upload tool cannot add new service items to an existing ancillary structure.

To introduce additional service items, users must either:

  • Update the structure manually via the UI 
  • Create a new ancillary service structure (including the required items) and deactivate the previous one

✅ Create a new ancillary/ancillary items structure
✅ Update an existing ancillary/ancillary items structure
❌ Add more ancillary items to an existing ancillary services structure

 

Mass creation of a new ancillary services structure

  1. Go to Marketing > Ancillary Services and select the upload options:


     

  2. Download the .csv file with the example file structure:


     
  3. Populate the table based on the example file.
    Important: The file structure contains two header rows describing fields in the “Ancillary Services” section as well as in the “Ancillary Items” sub-panel. The minimum requirement is to provide two rows of data (a single ancillary service and a single ancillary item contained within it).
     
  4. Ensure that the structure of the provided data matches the example and that values do not exceed the defined limits.

  1. Once the file is prepared, upload it using the same menu as in step 2. A confirmation message should appear once the process is successful.

 

Mass update of existing ancillary services

The process is identical to mass fare updates. The main difference is the use of ServiceID and ItemID to identify records.

  1. Select the desired ancillaries using filters, then download the .csv file using the “Special Export” button:

     
  2. Update the required fields within the file.
     
  3. Upload the updated file using the Update button:
