10/MAR/2021 - General Sales Agent (GSA)

Dear Customers,

We would like to update you about a new feature available on the system that allows you to create a GSA user that can create and manage agencies & agents, create PNRs for his agencies, and export data and reports for multiple agencies.

In order to properly create a GSA user you will need to follow the below steps:

1. GSA user group

The user group type was changed from a checkbox (Agent only) to a dropdown selection:


In order to use the GSA option, create the relevant new group and assign the GSA type:


2. GSA User Permissions

Update the permissions of the new GSA group.
A user group set to be a GSA type will have an expended agent's permission screen that you can use to edit the access level of GSA users for the following screens:


GSA users will have the option to use the same list of reports as CRS agents, based on the granted permissions.

3. Create the GSA name

We have added a new sub-module under the Agents module for managing the GSA entities, use it to create the list of GSA names.


4. Assign the agencies to their GSA

We have added an option to assign each of the existing agencies in the system to a GSA:


Update all the relevant agencies that should be managed by the GSA accordingly.

5. Create the GSA user account

The GSA user should be created as a CRS agent user, you will need to assign the correct GSA permission group and also make sure that the selected agency for the GSA user is an agency that was also assigned to any GSA name in step 4.


Once created, the GSA user will be able to create new agencies, manage and edit existing agencies, create agents, book PNRs and export reports for all the agencies that are assigned to his GSA, according to the group and user permissions set in step 2 & 5.

General: Note that it is not mandatory to create a new agency record for the GSA, the GSA user will get his assignment by the agency you will select on his user creation, make sure to assign them to the correct one to avoid any misconfigurations.

The GSA feature is available to any Ultimate edition system.
