Firefox browser - bypassing the print dialog box

Please be aware that Firefox browsers offer an option to bypass the pop-up dialog box when printing a boarding pass (or any other printout from the system).

This option can be particularly useful when there is a need for automated and fast printing during the check-in process.

It's important to note that this change is specific to the browser and not the CRS system. Additionally, this change will impact all sites visited using the Firefox browser, not just those within the system.

IMPORTANT: This option is best suited for situations where only a single printer is connected to the computer. If you regularly switch between printers at a station, having the dialog box pop up every time might be a better option. Therefore, we highly recommend against enabling this feature when multiple printers are connected.

Instructions:

1. Open Firefox and type 'about:config' in the address bar and press enter.  Click to confirm.

2. Right-click anywhere on the page, hover over 'New' and click on 'Boolean'.

3. Type 'print.always_print_silent' as the preference name and click 'OK'.

4. Click on 'true' and click 'OK'.

All printouts from the Firefox browser on this computer will be automatically printed to the default printer set on that computer without the printer selection pop-up screen will appear.
