We would like to update you on a new feature added to the class setup that will allow you to create a separate set of policies for routing changes on ticketed bookings:
You can create up to 4 different time periods with different penalty fees (same logic as the cancellation and amendment policies) and select the fee type that will set how the penalty will be calculated (fixed fee per PAX / Percent per service).
If a re-routing policy is set and is valid for a ticket, the system will alert the user doing the amendment of the penalties that will be collected in case a "regular" amendment (date, time or PAX related changes) or a re-routing change will be done:
The penalty amount can also be assessed before making a change using the assessment tool in the PNR screen:
The re-routing penalty fee will be collected only in cases where the amendment that is done on the ticket includes a routing change, and there is a valid re-routing policy set for the booked class.
If the amendment that is done will include only a change in time, date or PAX number, the "regular" amendment fee penalty will be collected.
If the class setup will not have a valid re-route policy setup and a valid amendment policy setup is present, all changes done on a ticket will be considered an amendment and the "regular" amendment penalty fee will be collected.
User permissions
We have added a new user and CRS agent's permission for blocking the re-route option:
Please note that the new permission works in connection with the 'Amend block' permission.
If a user/CRS agent is blocked from making an amendment ('Amend block' marked) it will not be possible for this user/CRS agent to make any kind of amendment (same behavior as before).
If the 'Reroute block' option is marked and the 'Amend block' option is not marked, this user/CRS agent will be able to make only amendments of date, timing, and PAX number changes and no routing changes.
