21/MAR/2022 - Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Dear Customers,

We would like to update you on a new feature that increases the protection level for your company.

AeroCRS supports Two-Factor authentication (2FA) as an additional layer of security for users and CRS agents. The 2FA feature improves the protection of accounts against unauthorized access.

2FA can be activated for each CRS user or CRS agent, by checking '2FA Required'.
Activation for all of the system users and CRS agents can be done by the support team upon the company's request.

Upon logging in to the system, the user will be required to complete the initial 2FA authentication process, by downloading the Google Authenticator app, scanning the QR code, and verifying the code provided on the app.

In the Authenticator APP, you scan the QR code:

And the first time you will need to insert the code from the application (3) field.

When logging in to AeroCRS, the user will need to check 'Use Multi-Factor Authentication' and provide the code as displayed on the app.

In case the user is unable to enter the code provided by the Google Authenticator app, disabling 2FA can only be done by the system administrator, as the checkbox '2FA enabled' needs to be unchecked.

In order to comply with the 2FA functionality, new website words have been created and can be translated under the 'Website words' submodule.
